Simple Ways to Stop Acid Reflux
Several millions of people are being struck by Acid Reflux disease – adults, children, and even infants cannot escape from its affliction.
Basically, the Acid Reflux or heartburn pertains to the disease caused by upflowing of the acid from the stomach up to the throat.
Scientifically, the process occurs when there is a relaxation that occurs in the lower esophageal sphincter (LES), allowing then the stomach juices to flow back into the esophagus.

Does anyone else have nausea as their primary acid reflux symptom?
I know its possible that some people have nausea as a more prevalent symptom for their acid reflux than heartburn.
and im nauseous a lot with no explanation, and i do have stomach issues, heartburn several times a month, but more nausea.
so do any of u have nausea as there main acid reflux symptom?
I have been experiencing similar symptoms in the last few weeks. i feel nausea after eating a big meal and get burps stuck in my throat…but when i do get the burps out a bit of liquid comes up too if i’m not careful. The nausea i have isn’t terrible, just feel a little light headed but it’s still no fun at all. It makes me really paranoid about throwing up which is one of my biggest fears, think that’s the hardest part.

anyone with ms or who knows about ms can you help ?
I have a doctors appoint next week. Ive done this symtom checker on a medical website and one of the conditions i might have is MS. I have been having numbing and tingling in my arms and legs and some burning sensation in the upper part of my back and neck…is this something you have come to recognize as symptoms with you
Hi Krissy, The many symptoms of MS mimic a good 25-30 diseases and conditions. In addition to that, there is no such thing as a classic set of MS symptoms. Every case of MS is different. Your symptoms could be caused by something as simple as a vitamin deficiency or as serious as Devic’s disease. Try not to self diagnose if you can. The very best of luck to you. Laura

What is a good alcoholic drink that does not cause heartburn?
I’m a bartender and I’ve had almost every drink I know how to make. Never happened to me. I don’t think it’s the drink that’s giving you heartburn. Maybe you and alcohol don’t mix. I’ve never heard of anyone getting heart burn from a drink I’ve mixed.

My hand’s middle finder tip looses sensation and the rest does.?
Can anyone suggest me if anyone has ever got the same symptoms. My left hand’s middle finger has started loosing sensation and the it sometimes turn pale white as there is no blood supply to it at all however the rest of the fingers remain normal with normal looking color with room temperatures. But this middle finger turns out to be sometime cold or sometime i cant feel it at all. It just started i guess a month or two earlier. Please anyone can suggest. thanks
Hi, I think maybe you are suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome, a disease in which the median nerve (one of the three main nerves which supply motion and sensibility to the hand) becomes compressed in a bony passage in the wrist. This happens often in people who have manual jobs, like typing, painting, or such. My advice is for you to go to your doctor, he or she will probably take some tests and refer you to a hand surgeon. Sometimes physical therapy solves the problem, but in severe cases surgery is indicated. Good luck!

What are some foods that a person with acid reflux or GERD must absolutely AVOID (specifics please not just..)
vague like “things with acid”.
Apparently my doctor told me I have GERD which is GastroEsophagael Reflux Disease so I need to know what I can and cannot eat. Please help, any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciates
I hope this helps. A lot of problems come from how/what we eat and combine our foods together. Let me explain.
It was the first time I cooked dinner for my then-boyfriend. I didn’t know it back then, but my own cure began with a question from this man who would later become my husband(Mike)
Shortly after we met, I made dinner for him and he asked if it would be alright if he didn’t eat one of the foods I had prepared. He said it all looked wonderful, but that the combination would give him a stomach ache. I didn’t know what he meant, since nothing was fried and no hot spices were used.
It was then that he asked me the question that literally changed my life forever!
Mike asked me, “Have you heard of food combining?”
My immediate answer was “no” I hadn’t heard of it. Even though it wasn’t anything new, and had been endorsed by many health experts, peak performance experts and celebrities and more – I really had never heard of FOOD COMBINING.
After hearing about how “mis-combining” leads to acidosis, acid-reflux, heartburn and a host of other digestive problems, I had my first “properly combined” meal…
And I HAD ABSOLUTELY NO SYMPTOMS WHATSOEVER!
NO PAIN! NOTHING!
That’s right…
NO cramps
NO bloated stomach
NO excessive gas
NO ‘IBS’
NO acid reflux
NO constipation
NO running to the bathroom
NO horrendous pain
Can you imagine how relieved I felt after all those years? If you have ever suffered any of these symptoms, even mildly, you will understand why I was wild with joy!

Heartburn Gerd
Heartburn or gastroesophageal reflux disease GERD is a painful burning sensation in the oesophagus caused by acid rising from the stomach. Heartburn is usually felt just below or behind the breastbone the pain may also be felt in your chest and your neck or throat.
Most people will experience heartburn occasionally however if you are regularly experiencing heartburn you may have GERD.
Usually when you swallow food or liquid it enters your stomach then the muscle at the end of your oesophagus closes. If this muscle doesn’t close correctly stomach contents can back up into the oesophagus. This partially digested food is acidic and can irritate the oesophagus, causing heartburn.
Heartburn should not be ignored especially if it is happening regularly. Over time ongoing heartburn can damage the lining of your oesophagus and cause serious problems. However making changes to your diet and eating habits can go a long way to preventing heartburn and other symptoms of GERD.
Foods that should be avoided to reduce the occurrences of heartburn include
Alcohol
Caffeine, carbonated drinks
Chocolate
Citrus fruits and juices
Tomatoes and tomato sauces
Spicy or fatty foods, full-fat dairy products
Peppermint and spearmint
Smoking
You should also give some thought to your eating habits for instance eat smaller meals as a full stomach puts extra pressure on your oesophagus making heartburn more likely.
Don’t eat within 2 to 3 hours before going to bed.
If you smoke stop
Regular exercise and looking after your weight will also help avoid or reduce instances of heartburn
If you are experiencing ongoing regular attacks of heartburn you should consult your doctor to check for any underlying problems.
